Woman arrested after leaving children alone in the Disney Store cadet cadet

A Florida woman was arrested for leaving her children alone in the Disney Store. Marjorie Cadet, 36, left her daughter and niece, ages 7 and 10, in a Pembroke Pines Disney Store, telling them to stay there while she shopped in the mall.

The children were noticed by a store employee, who contacted mall security after the kids said they didn’t know where their parents were. Security picked the children up and the police were called. Cadet later called security and came to pick up the kids, saying she had only left them in the store while she changed her baby’s diaper and got snacks for the kids. She alleges that she was aware she was gone for over an hour.

Cadet has been charged with two counts of child neglect without great bodily harm.
