Disneyland’s Maleficent Dragon Completely Engulfed in Flames During Fantasmic!

UPDATE: Disneyland shared a statement on last night’s show malfunction: During the final showing of Fantasmic! at Disneyland park on Saturday evening, the dragon prop caught fire. Anaheim Fire & Rescue quickly responded, and the fire was extinguished. All cast members were safely evacuated from Tom Sawyer Island. Disneyland’s Splash Mountain Closing Date Revealed Plus New Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Details

Disneyland has just announced that the Splash Mountain attraction in Critter Country will close permanently on May 31, 2023. In 2020, Disney revealed that Splash Mountain would undergo a complete re-theming to Disney’s Princess and the Frog and would become Tiana’s Bayou Adventure when it reopens in late 2024.
