Together with her daughter Emma Walton Hamilton who is a children’s author, Julie Andrews announced that she is getting ready to launch a family-friendly storytime podcast that will debut later this spring.
On the podcast, Hamilton and Andrews will be reading some of their favorite and current children’s books and more.
I’m finding myself rather excited about this as even though I don’t have small children at home, the idea of having the voice of Mary Poppins reading on a podcast sounds very soothing right now. The pair has co-authored more than 30 books for children and young adults including Julie’s Green Room.
The upcoming podcast is entitled Julie’s Library and is being developed with American Public Media.
It is our hope that the stories and ideas we share on Julie’s Library will provide family listening pleasure, inspire meaningful conversations, and be a trusted resource for literary enjoyment and learning.
