As Walt Disney World Resort hotels continue to reopen, Disney has announced that they have delayed the reopening date for Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort which will now reopen next summer instead of on October 4, 2020, as originally planned.

This adjustment to the reopening schedule will allow Disney to perform refurbishments including enhancements to the Great Ceremonial House and guest rooms. Work is expected to begin in early October.

The Villas and Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will remain open during this refurbishment.
