SeaWorld confirms sending employee to infiltrate PETA

SeaWorld has confirmed that “it sent its own workers to infiltrate an animal rights group which opposed the practices of the theme park. طريقة لعبة القمار ” PETA, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals” has been accusing SeaWorld of this since last summer, saying that one of their employees was trying to turn its members against the group.

Joel Manby, SeaWorld Entertainment CEO, said that they would end the practice, but that it was done to protect SeaWorld’s employees’ and customers’ safety. “We recognize the need to ensure that all of our security and other activities align with our core values and ethical standards.”

SeaWorld spokeswoman Aimee Jeansonne Becka said that the confidential nature of the company’s security practices would not allow them to say who had authorized this infiltration, how many employees it involved, or for how long it had been going on.

Paul McComb, the employee who was caught at PETA original, is still an employee at SeaWorld, but has moved to a new department.

PETA started investigating human resource worker McComb last summer when he “attempted to incite protesters and had posted incendiary comments on social media while masquerading as an animal-rights activist since 2012.”

PETA says that SeaWorld is condoning corporate spying by not firing McComb. Tracy Reiman, PETA’s executive vice president, said, “The tawdry orca sideshows and despicable spying tactics are sinking SeaWorld’s ship. مراهنات

Depending on what the company did with any information McComb obtained, SeaWorld could be looking at either civil or criminal legal issues; PETA could claim trade secret misappropriation.

SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. will hire Freeh Group International Solutions to review its security practices.

SeaWorld’s share are down 11 percent.
