New Authentic Baumkuchen Coming to Connections Cafe at EPCOT

A new Disney snack is coming to EPCOT, and if you’re a fan of traditional German desserts, you won’t want to miss this one. Beginning Tuesday, June 6th, Baumkuchen will be served at Connections Cafe in EPCOT. Baumkuchen translates into tree cake or log cake and has a whopping 15 layers!

Baumkuchen is a kind of spit cake from German cuisine. It is also a popular dessert in Japan. The characteristic rings that appear in its slices resemble tree rings, and give the cake its German name, Baumkuchen, which literally translates to ‘tree cake’ or ‘log cake.’
