Rumor: Chris Pratt the favorite to play Indiana Jones in franchise reboot

Deadline.com reports that Disney would like to sign Chris Pratt to play Indiana Jones in a new reboot of the franchise. Disney bought the series from Paramount in 2013; the role of Indiana Jones was played by Harrison Ford in the original trilogy.

Pratt plays Andy Dwyer on the NBC hit comedy Parks and Recreation and starred in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy, a Disney/Marvel film. In April, he begins filming MGM and Sony’s The Magnificent Seven.
