Disney’s Animal Kingdom to Celebrate 30th Anniversary of ‘The Lion King’

Walt Disney World has announced that The Lion King‘s 30th anniversary will be celebrated in various ways this summer at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. The celebration will take place throughout the entire park from June 10 through September 6, 2024, and new merchandise will also be available.

There will be special menu items to snack on in addition to this adorable Pumbaa popcorn bucket to add to your collection. Details will be shared in the Foodie Guide at a later date, so stay tuned.

Guests can embrace that Hakuna Matata lifestyle in Rafiki’s Planet Watch, where they’ll be able to once again meet Timon and Rafiki.

And, while guests are at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, they can visit Animation Experience and learn to draw characters from The Lion King.
