Planet Hollywood Resort planned for area near Walt Disney World

Plans have been officially filed for a new Planet Hollywood Resort that will be opened near Walt Disney World in 2018. The project is named the “ph Premier Hotel & Spa Orlando” and will be located on 14 acres on State Road 535 near I-4.

The original project, announced five months ago, were for a 436-room condominium hotel, but are now for a 548-room hotel. The building will be a 20-story tower with a roof deck. According to the Orlando Sentinel, “Site plans filed show features of the property would include multiple restaurants, patio space, a volleyball court, specific water features and lake view or access. Pools will have cabanas and a boardwalk will be constructed into Lake Bryan.”
