Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a theme park that stands out from the rest, or rather, seems to blend in. Let me explain. The three other theme parks in Walt Disney World’s Orlando campus are full of exciting imagery, bright colours, and bold designs. In contrast, Disney’s Animal Kingdom distinguishes itself with a natural theme that seamlessly blends into the landscape in a more understated manner. So too are its merchandise and snack offerings, less focused on bright colours and fancy snack designs. Instead, as we see new special snacks, drinks, and merch released, they tend to be taking the park’s natural wilderness themeing seriously, hardly ever departing from the earthy red, brown, and green tones that make this space such a tranquil experience.
