Try to stay calm, everyone… Hannah Montana might be coming back in 2026! It’s hard to believe, but the Disney Channel show is celebrating its 20th anniversary next year, and Miley Cyrus recently brought up what she hopes for the iconic character’s anniversary. During an interview on SiriusXM’s TikTok Radio, Miley was quoted talking about future plans for Hannah Montana –
“I want to design something really, really special for it because it really was the beginning of all of this that now sits here today.”
Miley also mentioned ideas for the anniversary, like re-recording Hannah Montana songs, live performances, merchandise, and more.
To add momentum to this rumor, a Miley Cyrus fan account @MileyNation13 posted on X, “HANNAH MONTANA: 20TH ANNIVERSARY. 2026.” with a clip of the iconic Hannah Montana wig sitting in a dressing room ready to be worn again. The viral post had over 14 million views… hopefully Disney gives fans “The Best of Both Worlds” next year!
Miley Cyrus began her Disney career at only 13 years old, with the first episode of Hannah Montana premiering in March 2006, spanning four seasons over five years. Along the way, Miley also starred in “Hannah Montana: The Movie” in 2009, a two-year concert tour Best of Both Worlds, with opening acts like The Jonas Brothers and Aly & AJ, plus a breakout music career with Disney’s Hollywood Records.
Over the past two years, Miley Cyrus has renewed her relationship with The Walt Disney Company after a successful solo music career and a pretty infamous wild streak, which she references in her song “Used To Be Young”. Miley officially became a Disney Legend at the 2024 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where she credited Hannah Montana for who she is today by saying, “I stand here still proud to have been Hannah Montana because she made Miley in so many ways.”
Back in July, Miley also released a new visual album streaming exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu called “Something Beautiful.” Fans can also stream all four seasons of Hannah Montana, “Hannah Montana: The Movie”, and the Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert all on Disney+.

I think it’s safe to say, fans can expect some sort of Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary tribute in 2026, and we’re hoping it’ll be a “Party in the U.S.A.”!
