Photo Tour of The Beak and Barrel, Adventureland’s New Pirate Bar at Disney World

We’re thrilled to share an exclusive first look inside The Beak and Barrel, the brand-new pirate bar opening August 29, 2025, in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. One of our team members was recently invited to step inside before its grand opening, giving us a glimpse of the swashbuckling atmosphere Disney has created in this long-anticipated space.

A Perfect Setting for Pirate Fun

Yes, it’s a perfect setting for Pirate shenanigans, but there are some posted rules, errr… articles… you should be aware of.

The Beak and Barrel feels right at home in Adventureland, especially since Disney chose to build it in the former location of The Pirates League. For longtime fans, this makes the bar’s debut even more meaningful. From 2009 until its closure in the summer of 2020, The Pirates League was a go-to spot where kids could transform into pirate captains, first mates, or even mermaids with immersive makeover packages. Now, the space continues to celebrate pirate lore in a way that appeals to adults, while still tying in beautifully with the spirit of the land. Look at some of the more private seating options inside!

Next Door to a Classic

The new bar is located adjacent to the legendary Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, making it a natural fit for Adventureland’s storytelling. With nautical décor, pirate-themed details, and a cozy tavern feel, The Beak and Barrel serves as a perfect companion to the swashbuckling ride next door. It’s easy to imagine grabbing a drink or a bite to eat here after braving the seas with Captain Jack Sparrow.

Looking Ahead

Seeing these first photos only adds to my excitement! I can’t wait to step inside myself during my next visit to Walt Disney World. The Beak and Barrel promises to be more than just a bar; it’s a continuation of Disney’s tradition of transforming spaces into fully realized experiences, rich with story and atmosphere. I love that this new location both honors the past of The Pirates League and gives guests something fresh to look forward to.

And how about all of these super cool details? My biggest struggle is likely going to be the 45-minute time limit inside. With so many incredible things to see, I already know that I’ll need more than just one visit.

Also, what would any Pirate establishment be without patrons having the ability to look up at the dirty bottom of a Pirate’s foot hanging above their heads? I love this!

The countdown is on to raise a glass and toast to new adventures at The Beak and Barrel!

A little sidenote from my own dining room… My husband happens to love a homemade Moscow Mule, so you could almost say that we have a little piece of The Beak and Barrel right here in our kitchen with these great copper mugs they’re using for their Cursed Treasure drink!
