Every August, Disney celebrates World Princess Week, a tradition honoring the courage, kindness, and adventurous spirit embodied by Disney Princesses. The celebration invites Disney fans of all ages to reflect on these timeless characters and their inspirational stories… but how did it all begin?
World Princess Week debuted in 2021 as part of Disney’s “Ultimate Princess Celebration.” The goal was to shine a spotlight on the positive values Disney Princesses represent, while offering immersive ways for fans to engage with their favorite characters. Beyond fairy tales, World Princess Week highlights the empowerment and creativity that Disney Princesses inspire. The week serves as a reminder that bravery, kindness, and resilience are traits everyone can embrace in their everyday lives.

Ride-Along with Jodi Benson
On August 27th, Disney will release an exclusive video on its YouTube channel featuring Jodi Benson, the original voice of Ariel, and singer Lauren Paley on a ride through of The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Disneyland.
Disney Princess Concert: Celebrating 70 Years of Disneyland
Enjoy a special musical event streamed on YouTube beginning August 29th, and later on Disney+. Filmed in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park, the concert celebrates both World Princess Week and Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary. The lineup includes beloved Disney Princess voices such as Auli‘i Cravalho (Moana), Disney Legend Jodi Benson (Ariel), Paige O’Hara (Belle), and Anika Noni Rose (Tiana), with hosts Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White in Once Upon a Time and Judy Hopps in Zootopia) and Susan Egan (Megara in Hercules and Broadway’s original Belle).

Disney’s Moana Live-To-Film Concert
A new Moana Live-to-Film concert is kicking off a North American tour this October, featuring a full-length screening of the film accompanied by an on-stage musical ensemble of top Hollywood studio musicians and Pacific Islands rhythm masters and vocalists.
