When it comes to Magic Kingdom balcony views, it doesn’t get any better than Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Part of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Bay Lake Tower combines sleek modern design with whimsical touches, and its close proximity to the world’s most visited theme park makes it one of the most desirable Disney Vacation Club accommodations. Best of all, you don’t need to be a DVC member to book; these rooms are available to everyone when inventory is open.

For families and traveling parties looking for both comfort and convenience at Walt Disney World, the villas at Bay Lake Tower offer a spacious home away from home just steps from Magic Kingdom. These rooms have been going through a remodeling over the last year, and we were recently invited out to tour one of the newly finished 2-bedroom villas!

The 2-bedroom villa sleeps up to nine guests and is designed with both relaxation and functionality in mind. You will find two full bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a full kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances, cookware, and dining essentials. There’s even a washer and dryer, making those extended stays even easier on your packing.

The open living and dining area provides a large table, island counter with stools, sofa, and flat-screen TV, with large windows that brighten the space and offer some seriously magical views.

Many villas offer sweeping views of either Bay Lake or Magic Kingdom. Just imagine catching Happily Ever After fireworks from this room!

The primary bedroom includes a king-size bed, walk-in closet, flat-screen TV, and a luxurious en suite bathroom featuring a soaking tub and separate shower.

Similar to a standard Disney Resort room layout, the second bedroom offers two queen beds, its own bathroom, a large-screen TV, a private balcony, and plenty of storage.

An additional bathroom is located off the living area, where you’ll also find a pull-down queen-size bed and a small convertible pull-down bed.

As you can see with those Tomorrowland and Main Street Electrical Parade motifs above, a highlight of newly-updated Bay Lake Tower rooms are their exclusive artworks. The villas feature vibrant pieces by artist Joey Chou, who created unique illustrations inspired by each of the Magic Kingdom’s themed lands.

These colorful prints also pay homage to Mary Blair’s whimsical modernist art style found throughout the Contemporary Resort.

After all, the Grand Canyon Concourse is just a breezy walkway from Bay Lake Tower!
