A Visit to the Cortona Inn & Suites Near Disneyland

For this trip to the Disneyland Resort, I headed a little further south…just beyond the main hotels surrounding the Anaheim Convention Center…to the Cortona Inn & Suites Anaheim Resort. The hotel is sandwiched between the Marriott Anaheim and Clarion to the north and the Hyatt Place and Courtyard to the south.

The Disneyland Resort is surrounded by locally owned and chain non-Disney eateries, lodging and more, so sometimes there are some great options (and values) to be had just outside of the gates. When it comes to hotels, Disney has its Good Neighbor Hotels, which can be included with your park tickets as part of a Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotel Vacation Package.

The 127-room Cortona Inn offers a variety of rooms and suites, including deluxe rooms with a King or two Queens and suites that sleep up to six guests.

I stayed in a connecting room on the first floor that had two queen-sized beds, with white bedding and three pillows each.

The room also had a small desk and a unit with storage, a television, a microwave, and a refrigerator. There was carpet in the main area and tile in the bathroom.

For a Moderate Good Neighbor Hotel, there was actually plenty of space to move around.

The bathroom was split, with a sink and countertop in the main space next to the large closet. There was a small bar of hand soap and a large dispenser bottle of lotion.

The tub and toilet were in a small, separate room. The tub included large dispenser bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

The hotel was in a “U” shape, with the main building in the center. Located behind the main building was a pool and a hot tub.

Each morning, a complimentary breakfast was served in a set of conference rooms off the lobby.

The breakfast was advertised as continental, but included some more substantial items like eggs, sausage, pancakes, and biscuits & gravy.

Cereals and a selection of breads were also available, along with milk, coffee, and juices.

There was also a gift shop located in the lobby open for limited hours.

I have short legs and don’t walk very fast, so for me, the walk from the Cortona Inn to Disneyland was at the far edge of what I was comfortable with. If you have little ones or folks who don’t enjoy that walk at the end of the night, the Anaheim Resort Transportation buses are always an option.

Based on the location and the room, Cortona Inn & Suites wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice for a visit to the Disneyland Resort. Guests who are combining their visit with business at the Anaheim Convention Center, however, might find that the location (and pricing) is worth looking into.

Do you have a favorite Good Neighbor Hotel that you would like me to visit next?
