The Walt Disney Company Earns 27 Golden Globe Nominations

Disney locked in 27 Golden Globe Award nominations this year, giving the company a broad presence across film, television, and streaming. The nominations span ABC, FX, Disney Television Studios, ESPN, Hulu, and the studio’s major film banners, including Pixar, Lucasfilm, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Searchlight Pictures, and 20th Century Studios.

Disney’s streaming platforms pulled substantial numbers. Disney+ earned nominations for Lucasfilm’s Andor and Pixar’s Elio. Hulu picked up recognition for Only Murders in the Building, Paradise, and Chad Powers. FX titles The Bear and Dying for Sex, both available on Hulu, added to the total.

20th Television secured 15 nominations across its slate. Only Murders in the Building, Abbott Elementary, Dying for Sex, The Beast in Me, and Nobody Wants This received series nods. Several lead actors scored nominations as well. Sterling K. Brown for Paradise. Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez for Only Murders in the Building. Adam Brody and Kristen Bell for Nobody Wants This. Matthew Rhys and Claire Danes for The Beast in Me. Michelle Williams for Dying for Sex. Glen Powell for Chad Powers.

The Walt Disney Studios earned eight nominations across a mix of major releases. Andor from Lucasfilm, Avatar: Fire and Ash from 20th Century Studios, Elio from Pixar, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere from 20th Century Studios, The Testament of Ann Lee from Searchlight Pictures, and Zootopia 2 from Walt Disney Animation Studios all received recognition.
