Disney is expected to name Thomas Mazloum as the next Chairman of Disney Experiences, according to a Bloomberg report. Sources familiar with the matter told Bloomberg that an announcement about Mazloum may come as soon as this week. They requested anonymity because the information has not been made public.
Josh D’Amaro, the current Chairman of Disney Experiences, is set to become Disney’s CEO on March 18, 2026, succeeding Bob Iger. Mazloum, who has served as President of Disneyland Resort since March 2025, is D’Amaro’s reported pick to fill the role.
Disney Experiences generated $36 billion in annual revenue in fiscal year 2025 and employs 185,000 Cast Members worldwide. The division oversees 12 theme parks, 57 resort hotels, Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney Imagineering, and Disney Consumer Products, including a new park resort in development in Abu Dhabi.
Mazloum brings nearly three decades of Disney experience to the role. He started with the company in 1998 as a hotel director for Disney Cruise Line, later served as SVP of Operations at Walt Disney World overseeing 31 resort hotels, and most recently led Disney Signature Experiences, covering Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, Adventures by Disney, and more.

At Disneyland, he currently oversees two theme parks, three resort hotels, Downtown Disney, and 36,000 cast members; all while shepherding the DisneylandForward expansion plan.
Whoever takes the chairman role will also be responsible for executing Disney’s $60 billion commitment to expand the Experiences division, which includes major new lands, more cruise ships, and the Abu Dhabi project.
Two other executives had reportedly been considered for the role:
- Jeff Vahle, President of Walt Disney World, has been with Disney for 36 years and oversees the company’s largest single resort.
- Ken Potrock, now leading Major Events Integration, previously held the Disneyland presidency before Mazloum and has 30 years of company experience.
No official confirmation has been made by Disney, but an announcement could come this week.
