Nomad Lounge, is somewhat of a hidden respite at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It feels like a calm escape from the busier parts of the Disney parks, offering a peaceful and refined setting. It’s a great place to slow down and relax, ideal for taking a break with a drink in a quieter environment. On a recent DIS Unlimited Happy Hour, we stopped by Nomad Lounge and enjoyed some beverages and, in our opinion, some of the best churros found at Walt Disney World.
You can find Nomad Lounge on your way into Pandora – the World of Avatar, attached to Tiffins restaurant.

The bartenders here are wonderful, and can customize any drink to your preferences. On our latest visit, we ordered three of our favorites off the menu:
Tempting Tigress | $18.50
Russell’s Reserve 10yr Bourbon, St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram Liqueur, Tamarind, and Lime Juice
The Tempting Tigress has a complex and layered flavor profile, with warm spice notes that reminded Ryno of spiced apple cider or holiday desserts. If you enjoy deeper, more robust cocktails with a bit of tang and spice, this one’s for you!

Mustang Coffee | $16.50
Crown Royal Whisky, Brown Sugar, and Butter with hot Coffee
This warm cocktail is rich, cozy, and reminiscent of holiday season drinks. Hannah found it comforting and indulgent, especially well-suited for cooler weather or anyone looking for a dessert-like beverage.

The inclusion of butter makes this one unique. Our waitress shared this is inspired by the Imagineer’s expeditions to Nepal to prepare for building Expedition Everest; coffee and whiskey are meant to keep you warm, while the butter is shelf-stable.
Hightower Rocks | $18.50
Casa Dragones Blanco Tequila, Watermelon, Sweet-and-Sour, and Lime Juice
Crisp and refreshing, this fruity beverage is quite easy to drink, with the taste of tequila not being very noticeable — but it’s there! Since this goes down so easily, it’s a great option for those who prefer lighter and brighter flavors. This is my personal go-to beverage whenever I stop into Nomad or Tiffins!

Churros | $11
Served with Vanilla Sauce (and seasonal dipping sauce)
The churros here are freshly made each day, served warm and crispy on the outside with a soft and fluffy interior. Ryno appropriately describes these as “fluffy little angels,” as we fell in love with them all over again. They are served with vanilla cream and a seasonal sauce, which was a spiced strawberry when we visited. The churros are already light and satisfying, but the sauces really enhance them. Don’t skip out on double-dipping into both sauce options!

In terms of overall quality, we consider these churros among the best available at Disney World. They’re a fair value for the price, given the portion size and the inclusion of the specialty sauces.
