We’re officially halfway to Halloween, and Walt Disney World has dropped their first tease for the upcoming season… which apparently starts earlier than ever. In a tarot card-themed reveal, we have our assumed kickoff date for the 2026 season of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Disney revealed new artwork alongside a riddle this morning on social media:
The photo and caption have us convinced the first party of the season will take place on Friday, August 7. The capitalized letters within the caption spell out the word “August,” with the clock hand also pointing to 8. Numerals at the top of the card represent 2026. The included riddle says to “check the hands, then count the patch”. There are 7 pumpkins from a patch included in the tarot card artwork. Therefore, 8… 7… August 7th!
When the pumpkin hour chimes just right,
A clock Unveils secrets within siGht.
Check the hands, then coUnt the patch,

If August 7 is in fact this year’s first MNSSHP, it will be the earliest the event has ever started. 2024 currently holds the record for the earliest kickoff, with the event beginning on August 9. In 2025, it started on August 15.
Just last night, Disney teased Halfway to Halloween announcements would be arriving this week. Stay tuned for more TREATS!
