It’s time to set your clocks to Pooh time, as we look at another Walt Disney World snack. We’re back on the hunt for a little smackerel of something (or two)… this time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Today’s snack feature covers the case of not one, but TWO sweet treats found exclusively at the park. One is a longstanding park staple, and the other is a recent addition. First up…
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror may be famous for its stomach-dropping elevator ride, but did you know it has its own cookie? It’s true!

The Terror Cookie can be found at the Joffrey’s Coffee stand within the attraction’s courtyard for $6.38. It’s made with white chocolate chips, Oreo cookie bits, and a dusting of cinnamon sugar on top.

I’ve heard plenty of praise for this cookie over the last few weeks, with some guests even putting it in the same conversation as the giant cookies from Gideon’s Bakehouse. Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t quite the same.
While it’s been described to me as soft and moist, mine was fairly crisp and firm. It didn’t taste stale by any means, but it may have spent a little too much time in the oven. The cinnamon sugar flavor came through the strongest, and the white chocolate chips stayed nice and soft. The Oreo pieces weren’t especially flavorful, but they added a nice texture and would definitely have been missed if they weren’t there. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how disappointed I was to learn that the cookie’s bright purple color doesn’t come from ube flavoring. Instead, it’s simply achieved with food coloring.

Overall, it’s a fun twist on a traditional cookie and certainly fits the spooky Tower of Terror theme. That said, I don’t think it’s a must-have snack at Hollywood Studios. There are stronger dessert options elsewhere in the park.
On the Rumbly in My Tumbly Scale, the Terror Cookie earns 2.5 out of 5 rumbles.
NEXT…
The Carrot Cake Cookie has been a Hollywood Studios snack legend for years. You may remember picking one up at the former Writer’s Stop, the cozy bookstore and coffee shop that once occupied the space now home to Baseline Tap House. When Disney announced Writer’s Stop would close, many longtime fans (like myself) worried that the beloved Carrot Cake Cookie would disappear with it.
Thankfully, the dessert lives on! Today, you can find it in the refrigerated case at The Trolley Car Café on Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood Studios’ Starbucks location, for $6.29.

Despite its name, this is less of a traditional cookie and more of a giant whoopie pie. Two thick, soft carrot cake rounds sandwich an enormous layer of sweet cream cheese frosting. The cake itself is incredibly soft and perfectly spiced, while the frosting is rich, creamy, and generously portioned. Unlike many carrot cakes, this one skips the nuts, but you will find shredded carrots and golden raisins mixed throughout the cake.

What I love most is that it tastes like a homemade dessert rather than a mass-produced theme park snack. It’s large enough to share with a friend, though I won’t judge if you decide to keep it all to yourself.
The only downside is that Florida heat and cream cheese frosting aren’t exactly best friends. If you’re carrying one around the park, you’ll want to eat it sooner rather than later. Better yet, grab one on your way back to your resort and enjoy it as a late-night snack!

With all that said, this remains one of my favorite snacks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s a park-exclusive treat that has earned its loyal following, and after all these years, it’s still just as delicious.
The Carrot Cake Cookie receives a perfect 5 out of 5 rumbles on the Rumbly in My Tumbly Scale!
Until next time, be grateful for your plateful!
