There is no shortage of places to eat at Walt Disney World, but the best dining experiences go well beyond what’s on the plate. In the latest DIS Unlimited dining video, Ryno, Hannah, Teresa, and Chloe each made their case for the single most memorable dining experience on property, and the conversation covered everything from comfort food and live entertainment to African-inspired buffets and the German beer hall tucked inside EPCOT.
Teresa’s Pick: 50’s Prime Time Café
Teresa went with a Hollywood Studios classic: 50’s Prime Time Café puts you inside a mid-century American kitchen, where the servers stay in character as your uncle or aunt, and will call you out for not eating your vegetables… or for being tattle tales. The menu leans into that home-style comfort food with meatloaf, pot roast, fried chicken… and you can’t order dessert until you finish your meal! Join the clean plate club today. The whole experience has an energy that’s hard to find anywhere else on property. (Some of the team agrees this location should always be at the park, but could benefit from a menu upgrade, and enhance the overall performance element with equity-based Cast Members.)

Chloe’s Pick: Boma – Flavors of Africa
My choice requires a trip to Animal Kingdom Lodge, and that trip alone is worth it. Boma is a buffet, but it just might be the best on Disney World property. The spread pulls from African cuisine, with favorites including butternut squash soup, corn chowder, coconut or peanut rice, salmon filets, couscous and chickpea salads, meat carving stations, grilled asparagus, and more. Don’t worry, there’s still chicken tenders and macaroni & cheese for picky eaters, too. To finish it off, mini desserts include the infamous espresso and chocolate Zebra Domes. If you know, you know. I lovingly dub this all-you-care-to-enjoy Disney dining experience BOMA COMA.

While you’re there, take in the lodge – check out the nearby animal exhibits on the savanna or stop by Victoria Falls lounge.
Hannah’s Pick: Biergarten Restaurant
Hannah made the case for this EPCOT gem tucked inside the Germany pavilion at World Showcase. Biergarten operates an all-you-care-to-enjoy German buffet with a live rotating band playing throughout the meal. The food is hearty and traditional: schnitzel, spaetzle, bratwurst, pretzel rolls, beer cheese soup, sausage “salad”, saurkraut, apple strudel and mini desserts, and a solid selection of German beers.

Ryno’s Pick: Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
Ryno went with the longest-running dinner show in Walt Disney World history. Out at Fort Wilderness, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue serves up unlimited fried chicken, cornbread, baked beans, vegetable sides, and strawberry shortcake while a cast of performers works the room with cowboy humor and audience participation. It’s quintessential to the Fort Wilderness experience… or is a fantastic standalone dinner and opens up your Disney trip ventures to the Fort if you’re staying elsewhere!
