Disney Unveils New .YNSD Merch Brand Ahead of D23 2026

Disney is introducing an entirely new way for fans to wear their love of the parks.

Ahead of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Walt Disney Imagineering has pulled back the curtain on Disney .YNSD, a new merchandise brand that takes a much more subtle approach to Disney-inspired apparel and accessories. Rather than oversized character graphics and attraction logos, the collections lean into thoughtful design, hidden details, and references that longtime Disney fans will recognize without announcing themselves from across the room.

The new label will make its public debut at D23, where attendees will get the first chance to shop its first two collections.

According to Disney, the name .YNSD is a nod to Yen Sid, the powerful sorcerer from Fantasia and mentor to Sorcerer Mickey. It’s also a clever twist on the word “Disney,” spelled backward with the vowels removed.

Instead of putting a familiar attraction poster or character on the front of a sweatshirt, Disney says the focus is on storytelling through design. Materials, textures, embroidery, construction details, and even the way a garment is finished all help tell the story. Some references are easy to spot, while others are intentionally tucked away for fans to discover over time.

The first .YNSD collection introduces the brand’s style with everyday clothing. It includes T-shirts, crewnecks, outerwear, bags, and accessories that have clean shapes and subtle Disney details. The collection features tonal graphics, embroidery, custom trims, and practical designs. This modern look fits easily into daily wardrobes and does not look like traditional theme park merchandise.

Disney also built in a few surprises. Some items use photochromic ink that reveals hidden graphics when exposed to sunlight, while other nods to Disney stories are woven into the stitching, patches, and construction instead of appearing front and center.

The second collection shifts in a completely different direction, drawing inspiration from the elegant Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Disney Treasure and the upcoming Disney Destiny. Instead of featuring familiar Haunted Mansion characters or attraction artwork, the collection captures the mood of the space itself.

The collection features Victorian-inspired textiles, ornate designs, layered patterns, and subtle ghostly details across apparel, bags, accessories, and lifestyle items. A custom pattern based on the Parlor’s decorative elements ties the collection together. If you look closely, you will find hidden ghostly images within the floral designs and artwork.

It’s a noticeably different direction from most Disney merchandise, and honestly, that’s what makes it interesting. Rather than feeling like souvenirs, these collections look designed for everyday wear, with Disney influences that reveal themselves gradually instead of demanding attention.

Disney .YNSD officially launches during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, giving attendees the first opportunity to shop both collections before they’re expected to become available more broadly.
