Disney has shared the first teaser for its next Walt Disney World Annual Passholder magnet, and while the featured character hasn’t officially been revealed, the clues have us excited for it!
The teaser artwork features a peaceful pond scene filled with lily pads, water lilies, cattails, and even a Hidden Mickey-shaped lily pad. A short video includes banjo music playing in the background as a rainbow appears reflected across the water.
The smaller teaser image also includes a log resting in the pond with cattails and lily pads nearby, reminiscent of Kermit the Frog’s iconic “Rainbow Connection” scene from The Muppet Movie (1979).
Combined with the banjo music and rainbow reflection featured in the teaser video, it’s easy to believe Kermit is hopping onto the next magnet…
In addition to the Instagram post, Disney teases with the following captions on the Passholder landing page:
“Think you know who’s on the next Passholder magnet? Better pond-er it carefully.”
“Start making room on the fridge, Passholders, because this next magnet Character is used to being in the spotlight! Of course, they’re not the only one deserving of attention…”
That last caption suggests another Muppet could also be making an appearance, perhaps Miss Piggy?
As with previous Passholder magnet releases, Disney plans to offer a few additional limited-time perks alongside the giveaway. Annual Passholders can also look forward to:
- A special Disney PhotoPass experience
- A limited-time sweet treat
Disney has not yet announced when or where the next magnet will be available, but additional details are expected soon.
Annual Passholder magnets have become one of the most popular complimentary offerings for Passholders, often inspiring long lines when a new design debuts. This next magnet would be the very first to feature The Muppets, marking another welcome addition to Disney’s collection of Passholder magnets.
