Here I am, heartbroken on a Monday. I’ve got some real bad news, fellow EPCOT super fans. A piece of park history appears to be fading away before our very eyes, as Disney’s newly released operating calendar for 2027 shows another reduction in hours for a beloved original EPCOT attraction.
Beginning January 1, 2027, Impressions de France at the France pavilion currently lists operating hours of just 9 AM to 9:30 AM, with no evening showtimes.
For comparison, Disney’s December 31, 2026 schedule still includes two operating windows:
- Morning: 9 AM to 9:30 AM
- Evening: 7 PM to 8:45 PM

Meanwhile, the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, which shares the Palais du Cinema theater, maintains its 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM schedule. Disney hasn’t announced whether this change is permanent or simply a scheduling adjustment.
Another Blow for an Original EPCOT Favorite
Impressions de France has entertained EPCOT guests since opening day in 1982. The beautiful 18-minute film takes you through the French countryside, historic landmarks, and charming villages across five screens, accompanied by a gorgeous soundtrack from Disney Legend Buddy Baker. When the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along debuted in 2020, Disney refreshed Impressions de France in 4K but drastically reduced its operating hours to accommodate the newer attraction.
I’ve complained about those limited hours before. To this day, Impressions de France remains one of EPCOT’s finest original experiences. There’s nothing quite like watching this beautiful film, followed by some delicious French bites from Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie.

But… 30 minutes a day?! That’s hardly enough time for anyone to discover it, much less appreciate it. I sincerely hope Disney restores the evening showings. This little piece of EPCOT history deserves better than slowly disappearing from the park’s daily schedule. What do you think of this?
