The Muppets will be starring on Disney Junior in a series of new “shorts.” Beginning April 3, “Muppet Moments” will feature “funny conversations-and outrageously adorable moments” between the Muppets and young children, discussing topics such as manners, favorite foods and apologies.
Nancy Kanter, EVP of original programming and general manager at Disney Junior Worldwide, said, “The Muppets have been a part of nearly every family’s life and we are delighted to bring back fond memories of these iconic characters for parents and create new ones for the youngest members of the family. ‘Muppet Moments’ highlight the Muppets doing what they do best – making kids and families laugh, while showcasing compassion and heart. Our hope is that viewers will come away seeing how funny and special the Muppets really are.”
Muppets you can expect to see include Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, The Great Gonzo, Animal, Beaker, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Rowlf, Bobo, The Newsman, Rizzo, Sam Eagle and Pepe the King Prawn.
The shorts will begin airing on Friday, April 3 at 8:25, 8:55, 9:25 and 9:55am EST. After that, a new short will air each day through Friday, May 8. Additional “Muppet Moments” will debut all year long. They will available to watch online at watchdisneyjunior.go.com.
