Florida Reaching Record Tourism Numbers According to Governor Rick Scott

According to Governor Rick Scott, Florida has had 31.1 million visitors in the first three months of the year. At this rate, tourism has outpaced the first three months of last year. In 2016, Florida in total had 113 million tourist, which made it the most visited state in the U.S.

Governor Rick Scott warns that these numbers might drop because Florida’s tourism marketing agency Visit Florida recently had its funding cut by state legislators by 67 percent. Scott still needs to sign the bill, but he may apparently veto the budget because of its defunding of Florida’s tourism marketing agency.
