According to Deadline, industry predictions are now expecting Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War to open to $200 million, or more. This would easily shatter the month of April’s current record-holder, Furious 7, which brought in $147 million.
There are several indicators used by experts to come up with these numbers. One test, for example, tracks how often an individual brings up a movie without being prompted, and in that test, Avengers: Infinity War outscored previous box office successes like Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Black Panther, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Jurassic World, and Avengers. There several other indicators used by industry experts that point towards Avengers: Infinity War winning big on its opening weekend.
Avengers: Infinity War will open in theaters on April 27.
