‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Dominating the Box Office in its Second Weekend

After a strong opening weekend, Avengers: Infinity War continues to dominate at the box office in its second weekend, with an estimated $120.2 million domestically.

Those numbers were behind the second weekend for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which did $149.2 million, but ahead of Black Panther, which pulled in $111.6 million in its second weekend.

Today, in its 9th day of release, the film will cross the $400 million mark domestically. The Force Awakens reached that mark in just 8 days.

Internationally, the numbers are strong as well, including a record breaking $32 million opening day in Russia on Thursday. With the international and domestic numbers combined, the film is expected to cross the $1 billion global threshold today, breaking a record for that benchmark.
