Disneyland releases new smartphone app

The Disneyland Resort has released a new official smartphone app called simply “Disneyland” that will allow guests to access current wait times and check park hours.  The new app is not connected to Walt Disney World‘s MyDisneyExperience.

Guests can also link their existing tickets and Annual Passes through the app, allowing them to present a barcode on their smartphone at the turnstiles, rather than a paper or plastic ticket.  New tickets can also be purchased through the app.

Dining information is available as well, but reservations information opens in a web browser.

The new app is currently available through the Apple App Store and GooglePlay Store.
