Meg Crofton, former president of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts’ U.S. and France operations, has been honored for her service to the company with a window on Main Street, U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom. This tradition honors those individuals who have made a significant contribution to the Disney company. Crofton joins fewer than 200 individuals who have received this distinction at Walt Disney World, including such greats as Roy O. Disney, Richard Irvine, Ub Iwerks, Frank Wells and Lee Cockerell.

Crofton’s window reads “Center for Leadership Development & Mentoring” and has an illustration of shaking hands. Her name, Meg Gilbert Crofton, is followed by the quote: “We start leaders on their journeys.” Her window can be found on the left side of the street across from the Crystal Arts store.

Crofton worked at Disney for 35 years before retiring in June 2015.

Leah grew up in a little farming town in Illinois, right on the Mississippi River. Her Chicago-born husband, David, left the city for her, and they're now raising their three children (Jacob, Jonah and Lydia) just 12 miles from her hometown. As the Senior Editor of the DIS (wdwinfo.com), Leah spends a lot of time writing about, reading about, and discussing Disney. So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies with her husband and doing crafts with and for her kids.
