Dick Van Dyke to host “Mary Poppins” broadcast

Dick Van Dyke, who starred opposite Julie Andrews in the 1964 Disney classic “Mary Poppins”, will host a re-broadcast of the film on Saturday, December 12 as part of ABC’s “The Wonderful World of Disney”.

The film will be presented from 8pm to 11pm and Van Dyke will introduce the film, give his insights about the making of the film and share some props from the Walt Disney Archives.

Target is the sponsor of the broadcast and their mascot, Bullseye, will appear with Van Dyke.

“Mary Poppins” last appeared on broadcast television 13 years ago.
