Big Changes are Happening in Downtown Disney!

Chapel Hats, Build-A-Bear & Ridemakerz have all closed to make way for new dining experiences.
- Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer coming to Downtown Disney, with the entrance near the former Build-A-Bear location.
- Ballast Point brewery coming to Downtown Disney, with the entrance near the former RideMakerz location.

Haagen Dazs has closed with Salt & Straw replacing it.

More stores and restaurants closed as construction was set to begin on a new luxury hotel project. That hotel project has been canceled, but most businesses in that area are still closed.

-Rainforest Cafe closed 06/17/18
-Alamo relocated 06/26/18. Earl of Sandwich closed 06/26/18, but reopened in October. Starbucks WEST closed 06/26/18, but reopened 12/10/18.

Alamo Car Rental - CLOSED - Located in the Downtown Disney District, near the Walt Disney Travel Company (facing the Disneyland Hotel). 

Curl Surf - Beach and surf themed clothing and accessories.


The Disney Dress Shop - This recently relocated store carries apparel created especially for Disney Parks, plus accessories and other items from Dooney & Bourke, Kate Spade, Disney Boutique, Alex & Ani, and Chrislu Disney Boutique.


Disney Home - Disney-themed home goods, including products that change with the season.



Disney Vacation Club Preview Center - CLOSED - Schedule a tour to learn more about DVC Membership. This office has been relocated.

Disney Pin Traders - Disney pins, lanyards, cases, accessories

ESPN Studio Store - CLOSED - Located in the ESPN Sports center, this store is bound to have everything the sports enthusiast in your family is looking for.

LEGO Imagination Center – A huge variety of the popular building block. Choose from the most basic assortment to the more complex designs. Clothing with the Lego logo is also available.


Marceline’s Confectionery - Fresh fudge, candy coated apples, hand dipped chocolates and an assortment of novelty candies is available.

Pandora - Customizable bracelets, necklaces, and other jewelry.

Rainforest Retail Shopping Village - CLOSED - A wide assortment of Rainforest merchandise including, jewelry, clothing, toys and gifts.

Sanuk - This footwear store features creatively inspired, yet distinctively designed sandals for outdoors.


Sephora - An international boutique featuring the Sephora line of cosmetics as well as popular beauty products and perfumes.

Sprinkles – Gourmet cupcakes.



Sunglass Icon - High end and brand name designer frames.

Walt Disney Travel Company - Disney Travel Agents will assist you in making questions or changes to your current package. This office has been relocated.

WonderGround Gallery - A technology driven gallery featuring the latest in Disney inspired art.  WonderGround Gallery also features an Artist in Residence program.  Each month, a new artist will call the gallery their home as they work on upcoming projects, live paintings, art demonstrations and more.


World of Disney - The largest store at the Disneyland Resort, World of Disney carries a bit of everything. You'll find clothing for the whole family, housewares, plush, pins, toys, fine art, and more.



After a major refurbishment in 2018, the World of Disney has a completely new look and features magic around every corner.

Downtown Disney Dining/ Restaurants

Downtown Disney at night is very busy. If you try to wing your dinner meals, don't be suprised if you have to wait a while. You may find lines out the door at Tortilla Jo's, Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, and Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria.

Downtown Disney Entertainment

Downtown Disney in Disneyland really comes alive at night! There isn't a single spot throughout the district where you won't hear live music, or see crowds for that matter. Downtown Disney during the day and Downtown Disney at night are completely different.



This interactive virtual reality experience even includes physical elements to make the environment even more real! Currently The VOID offers two different games on alternating days.


Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire is a new virtual reality experience that uses the latest technology to help groups of up to four guests live the story of Rebel Alliance operatives tasked to go undercover as stormtroopers on a secret mission.


Ralph Breaks VR is based on the film Ralph Breaks the Internet. During the game, guests are immersed in the world of the new film and interact with Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz, helping them break into the internet.

A new Marvel-themed experience is expected to debut sometime in 2019.

Long a New Orleans tradition, Ralph Brennan’s California locale brings the sounds of the Big Easy to Downtown Disney. On select evenings, the sultry sound of jazz fills the air as a talented lineup of performers takes center stage in the lounge.

With 12 large screens and comfortable stadium style seating, you can enjoy the top movies being shown at this megaplex.  There's even an IMAX screen for that immersive movie experience.  Current releases are shown throughout the day into the evening.

Sports fans flock to this location where sports events can be viewed on a giant 16-foot screen surrounded by a dozen 36-inch monitors in the lounge area. No matter what the game, you’re bound to find it being broadcast here. Every seat in the restaurant is in range of a TV screen. No need to wait for a commercial to take a bathroom break, there are screens in the restrooms. At the Sports Arena, sports themed video games are found. (Game cards available for purchase.)


Splitsville features a full service restaurant and bar, plus live music nightly and 20 bowling lanes



Downtown Disney also hosts a wonderful array of outdoor performers. From the sublime sounds of classical musicians to Latino bands that will have you dancing in the streets, you will often find the air filled with music.
