I was humbled today when looking for things to share with you this Thanksgiving weekend. Have you ever felt such an affinity with a Disney story that you form a connection with it that feels like it follows you through your everyday life? That’s how I feel about Moana. Not only am I surely the world record holder for prancing through my home screaming, “I am… MOANA!” but I’m also a bit obsessed with the details behind the scenes around how the movie was created. Everything from the heritage to the songwriting fascinates me, and that’s why I was sure to be a pro when I noticed there was a D23 Quiz available to test your Moana Easter Egg skills. The reality was much different.
If you asked me to finish any sentence or lyric, I’d be unbeatable in most scenarios, but it turns out that my attention span is not so fabulous when looking for visual cues. Faced with six seemingly simple questions about the film, I struggled to recall more than a handful of the answers. While Moana is definitely my thing, it would seem that the traditional Disney Easter Eggs that appear in animated films are not.
