Good news, fellow Muppet fans! During today’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event program, we learned all about the makings of a Muppet version of the popular Hasbro board game Clue, and it’ll be available in a few short months!
Nina West, Muppet extraordinaire, and Dani Iglesias, Producer for The Muppets, hosted the session at Spotlight Stage and unveiled all the fun details.
Appropriately for the [pretend] murderous good-time, Uncle Deadly will play host of the game. Players can choose from representing Miss Piggy as Miss Scarlet, Kermit the Frog as Mr. Green, Gonzo as Professor Plum, Swedish Chef as Chef White, Sam Eagle as Solicitor Peacock, or Fozzie Bear as Colonel Mustard. How will you choose?
Now for the clever weapons lineup. Well, was it the Pigs in Space Zapper, Marley & Marley Chains, Skillet with Singing Food, Kermit’s Sword from Muppet Treasure Island, Gonzo’s Plumbing Artiste Statue, or the Floating Candelabra from Muppets Haunted Mansion? (Side note: WOW I actually uncovered a bit of Muppets Haunted Mansion news from this weekend!) Seriously, the price of the game is worth it for these little collectibles alone.
Where are all these macabre Muppet happenings taking place? Backstage of The Muppet Show, of course! Each room holds their own details, like Kermit’s [original, before the meme] cup of tea, Electric Mayhem’s instruments, and a table directly in the center where a teeny tiny version of Clue: The Muppets sits.
Clue: The Muppets board game will be available online and at popular retailers beginning October 8th, 2024.
Oh, and let’s hear it for Miss Nina West and her dress for this presentation — are you kidding me?!
