After Stitch stole hearts all over again with last year’s live-action Lilo & Stitch, it’s officially time to make room for his bestie. Angel is stepping into the spotlight, and Disney is leaning all the way in with new music, fresh merchandise, and a reminder that she’s been a fan favorite for a long time now.

Angel first appeared in Lilo & Stitch: The Series as Experiment 624, created by Dr. Jumba Jookiba. Her original purpose was a little intense. Angel was designed with a powerful siren song that could undo all the good Stitch and Lilo worked so hard to accomplish. Sing her song one way, and rehabilitated experiments turned chaotic again. Sing it backward, and peace was restored. No pressure.
But just like Stitch, Angel didn’t stay on the “bad experiment” path for long. Through her relationship with Stitch and her understanding of ‘ohana, Angel chose love over destruction. The two even share the nickname “boojiboo,” which longtime fans know is about as sweet as it gets.
Angel later appeared in Leroy & Stitch and later in the Stitch! anime series, where her story expanded significantly. That’s where she truly became a pop star, balancing intergalactic fame, touring, and a long-distance relationship with Stitch. Between appearances in video games, Disney Parks around the world, and special events, Angel quietly built a strong fan base that’s only grown louder over time.
Now, she’s officially in her pop star era.
Angel just dropped a brand-new song called “Glitter Glide,” complete with a music video that follows Angel and Stitch as they tour across galaxies, light up stages, and spread joy wherever they go. The track is performed by Dara Reneé, known for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and Descendants, and it absolutely leans into fun, sparkle, and energy.
