First Look: New International Disney Merch Drops In January

If it was not already obvious, I love all things Disney merch related. Every week, there is something genuinely joyful about sorting through the hits and the occasional misses that bring Disney storytelling to life in physical form. Still, when you see Disney merchandise in volume the way we do, it can start to feel a little repetitive at times. We often chalk that up to new markets rediscovering classic characters, but every now and then, something truly special comes along that feels fresh, thoughtful, and exciting from the very first look.

Over the past year, we have seen a consistent and welcome effort to bring more international Disney merchandise to fans in the United States and Australia. What were once items exclusive to Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong are now only a few clicks away, making it easier than ever to add a unique piece to your collection. While some crossover designs feel familiar to what we already see domestically, others stand out immediately with a completely different approach to character styling, color palettes, and product concepts. Disney Store Japan, in particular, has mastered a softer, sweeter take on character design, leaning into gentle expressions and cozy themes, and the good news is that even more of that charm is heading our way in 2026.

Kicking things off early in the new year, DisneyStore.com will welcome a new wave of pastel baby plush and plush keychains from Disney Store Japan this January. These designs feature beloved characters like Dumbo and Pegasus wrapped snugly in baby blankets, with details that make them feel extra special. Pegasus even includes a soft lightning bolt accessory inspired by the medallion worn by Hercules, a subtle nod that longtime fans will appreciate. These pieces feel tailor made for collectors who love plush with personality and a touch of storytelling built right in.

Plush fans will have plenty to look forward to throughout 2026, as Disney Store China also continues to influence upcoming releases with designs that balance cuteness and creativity in a way that feels distinctly international. This past year has already delivered a wide range of adorable imports, and the upcoming lineup promises even more variety for those who cannot resist adding just one more plush to the shelf.

There is even more international magic on the horizon, with DisneyStore.com also planning to launch merchandise from Disney Store Europe next year. Among the highlights is a Winnie the Pooh Rain Plush collection featuring Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore dressed in colorful rain gear, perfectly suited for a drizzly day in the Hundred Acre Wood. These designs feel playful and practical all at once, offering a charming twist on classic characters that feels both nostalgic and new.

With a new year of Disney merchandise just weeks away from kicking off, it is hard not to feel excited about what is coming next. Between the continued expansion of international collections and a growing focus on unique designs, 2026 is shaping up to be a standout year for Disney merch lovers. I cannot wait to share more updates as they roll out, and something tells me this is only the beginning of a very fun year ahead.
