It’s been a long time since we first saw Disney’s Banshee shoulder pals greet guests in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. A merchandise celebration that sent fans into a frenzy as Pandora – World of Avatar opened its bioluminescent gates in 2017, these cute but odd little creatures have delighted guests ever since. Apart from a rocky start with varying availability, Banshees have been going home with guests consistently int he years since, even though remaining relatively unchanged from their original design. Now, guests can enjoy a new and improved version of this sidekick with new interactive features. Yep, four all-new interactive shoulder banshees will be landing inĀ Pandora ā The World of AvatarĀ on November 21st.Ā
Each new interactive banshee is controlled by a wireless remote, allowing you to conveniently customize your bansheeās personality by directing their mouth, head and wing movements, as well as their authentic banshee sounds provided by Lightstorm Entertainment.
Be warned: banshees can have a mind of their own, too! While traveling through Pandora and beyond, your banshee will notice and communicate with other interactive shoulder and wrist banshees that cross its path, making them more lifelike than ever. Your banshee will also react to being pet, so be sure to give them lots of attention.
As you continue to bond with your banshee, you can personalize them even more with three new accessory packs inspired by clans from the world of Avatar. Dress them up in your favorite set or mix and match different head, neck and tail accessories to create a unique look!
The mossy, rock-like details on the storage perch have even been upgraded, a distinct improvement on the plastic-looking finish of the original. Will your banshee be inheriting a younger sibling? These new bad-boys will drop at Disney’s Animal Kingdom from November 21st, 2024 in Pandora – World of Avatar’s Rookery!
