The stream of Disney100 merch is sure to be lengthy as we spend the year celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Disney. The first range we saw arrive was the Disney100 Platinum Collection, a series of purple and metallic-look items similarly themed to the character attire and decorations that adorned the Disneyland Resort. Next up was the Disney100 ERAS collection, a specific and timeless nod to the younger years of Walt Disney and his fellow Imagineers. The series included old-world-styled items to suit the workspace of a young creative at Walt Disney Studios.
The next series in line to grace us with its celebratory presence is the Disney100 Decades collections which will be released in batches beginning with the 1920s series, celebrating Steamboat Willie in Mickey Mouse’s first film role. More merch will follow, presumably in ten sets of decade groups that span up until the 21st century. While the collection has not begun previewing just yet, I feel one of the included items might just be the Disney100 Steamboat Willie Special Edition Box Set, $275.
Citizen has announced that more themed watches will become available throughout the year with different feature characters on the agenda, making me think this might be a tie-in to each of the decades as they are released.
The Disney100 Decades 1920s Collection will launch on February 20th at 7 am PST.
