In my world, I see a lot of Disney merchandise. From special limited releases and collectibles to event merch and seasonal decor, I see it all, and I’m not usually shy about sharing my opinions with you. Of course, anything with the Disney stamp on it is going to come with a little extra brand tax; we pay more for an expectation of quality and an association we care about, but there are some brand collaborations that are better value than others. One, in particular, is the Nike x Disney merchandise, which consistently surprises me with its reasonable pricing compared to other collaborative releases. Not only do the Nike x Disney products offer practical apparel and accessories that, let’s face it, we are more likely to wear in our home lives than, say, a giant Goofy face sweater, but there is a double name brand tax that seems to be less expensive than other prominent collabs.
