Earlier today, the Disney Parks Blog released the first look at some of the new merchandise that will be available when Pandora - The World of Avatar opens on May 27, 2017.
Co-Production Designer of the Avatar sequels, Dylan Cole, created a series of merchandise inspired by the new attraction, the Na’vi River Journey. He also created the designs for merchandise based off of the Valley of Mo’ara. Both of Cole’s designs will be “available as prints…apparel, home décor, accessories, and other products.”
Walt Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde created cave paintings for the Flight of Passage attraction, and with the help of Senior Character Artist with Disney Consumer Products Casey Jones, those sketches are being used for a number of merchandise items!
Daphne Yap an artist, and a member of the Avatar film production team, designed “renderings of Na’vi weavings and Banshee totems for Walt Disney Imagineering.” Disney is using her hand-drawn sketches on a number of merchandise items!
Lastly, Disney’s art team designed a number of patches that represent a wide variety of “experiences guests will have while visiting Pandora.”
