It’s time to remember the magic.
I can’t be the only kid who listened to Brian McKnight’s version of Remember the Magic from the Music from the Parks CD on repeat in their room, dreaming of the next time they’ll see the beautiful Pepto-pink cake castle made for Walt Disney World’s 25th anniversary… Right? RIGHT? Forgive me, I’m feeling extra nostalgic today as it is my birthday!
Hey howdy hey, banana hippy-happy hat to me, and welcome to another vintage finds feature! I’m very excited to share one of my favorite elements of my childhood Disney days. Here’s some rare 25th Cake Castle goods I dug up from eBay recently — and yes, these are all on my watchlist/wishlist (unless I already own it)!
First up, we have this Cake Castle model figurine I will absolutely be picking up for myself soon. There are a few of these currently available, but this one’s a pretty great price! Look at those sweet details! You can almost smell the inflatable frosting and candles.
Available HERE | $27.95
Next we have this Disney Catalog-exclusive (remember that?!) – a Cake Castle-faced watch with matching silver pin. I do wish the pin was colored in with the iconic hues of the anniversary castle, but that watch is to die for on its own!
Available HERE | $49.99
Wrap yourself up in this gorgeous woven tapestry throw, which is in pretty excellent condition for 29 years old!
Available HERE | $73.50 (currently 25% off)
The front and back design on this next one?! *Chef’s kiss* I’ve seen this on a t-shirt before, but this crewneck is perfect for those chilly park evenings. Besides the gorgeous Cake Castle art on the front, complete with a banner reading “It’s Time to Remember the Magic”, it’s also signed by Mickey, Goofy, the Genie, Tinker Bell, Lumiere AND Simba. I mean, how can you not?
Available HERE | $94.22 (currently 20% off)
Lastly, we have one of the historic colorful glasses which was available at McDonald’s during the 25th anniversary celebration. You may luck out and find this at your local thrift store or antique mall, as these are pretty common. But I found a pristine one for a pretty decent price! The wraparound design also features plenty of Mickey balloons, confetti, Donald Duck and Space Mountain!
Available HERE | $9.99
I hope you enjoyed this week’s selection of vintage Cake Castle treasures. Let me know what you’d like to see from my future digs through the trenches of eBay. Remember: life is better with sprinkles on top. I’m off to enjoy some of my own cake now!
