Hey howdy hey, and welcome to another weekly treasure trove of vintage finds! We’re back with another assortment of vintage Walt Disney World souvenirs because, well, they just don’t make them like they used to. Thes week, we have another hand-picked selection of goods — from vinyl purses to… rain ponchos?! Let’s dive in!
As we approach the rainy season(s) of the “Sunshine” State, you must think differently when packing for your Disney World vacation. Summer might mean heat and humidity for easy-breezy cotton outfits, but with humidity comes RAIN. Lots and lots of random rain showers. That means you’ll want to come equipped with a light rain jacket or poncho. Now, Disney has their own ponchos available for about $13, but why not pick up these two vintage ones at a discounted rate? I’d be worried of tearing them upon use, but they’d be such a niche rain outfit flex, no? Help me.

I love merchandise that includes both park icons AND Disney characters, don’t you? This vintage laminated placemat is double-sided; featuring Cinderella Castle and Cinderella herself, alongside Prince Charming, Snow White, and five of her little friends, and a Magic Kingdom park map on the other (peep that Nautilus and old Tomorrowland!).

Or, we can throw it back even farther with this 1960s vintage vinyl mini Minnie bag (see what I did there). If you’ve also searched through the trenches of eBay for older Disney goods, you’ve probably seen one of these weird little bags featuring a plastic character head at the center. These small purse may not hold much, as they’re five inches in diameter, but they could be used as an oversized bag charm or a clutch! Either way, what a conversation piece.

Last up for today is this adorable Leeds Pottery planter from the 50s, featuring a pastel-glazed Dumbo and Timothy Mouse. I’m a sucker for vintage Dumbo anything. I mean, just look at his sweet face!
