Hey howdy hey, and happy October! Not only is it the happiest time of year for us Halloween lovers, but Walt Disney World’s birthday was just a few days ago! She doesn’t look a day over 53, right? What better way to celebrate than [virtually] window shopping some tchotchke treasures of Walt Disney World’s past?
First up, we have this 1972 Aladdin Thermos featuring some of WDW’s earliest resorts: the Polynesian and Contemporary. Is this… one of the first “resort mugs”? Tom Sawyer Island and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse are also featured — too cute!

Did you know Disney’s Electrical Water Pageant also made its grand debut in October 1971? This relic is beloved by many and still shows nightly on Seven Seas Lagoon. I love watching from the Fort Wilderness campground beach, or from Wilderness Lodge after enjoying an evening at Geyser Point Bar & Grill. Where’s your favorite spot to catch it? This 1973 mini picture disc features the original Baroque Hoedown track played for the pageant (the same song as Main Street Electrical Parade). Water Pageant merch is hard to come by, especially this vintage! The artwork here is fantastic. One thing’s for sure: this is a great way to display your love for the Electrical Water Pageant in your home.

Next up is this 1981 Loc Blocs Magic Kingdom Castle Set — looking into this specific listing, Mickey and Minnie are missing from the box (yet, is that pictured LEGO Greedo included?!), but the castle pieces are all there to build and proudly display. Look at those little yellow Mickey flags! I love the retro look to the castle here, it’s a pretty cool addition for any vintage memorabilia display shelf. I’m a sucker for the vintage packaging alone.

Last but not least, we have this set of four glass coasters from the 1970s, featuring scenes from Magic Kingdom. These are 50th-anniversary Vault Collection worthy, but grabbing a complete original set is pretty special! Plus, you can’t beat this price versus a new set from the parks today, and they probably wouldn’t be glass anyway!

Just kidding, this is the last one! You know I couldn’t leave you hanging with NO hints of Halloween in October! These 1990s buttons are fun to add to any tote bag or autumn outfit, and that Poca “Haunt Us“ one simply tickles me too much to not share. (Please buy it before I do.)

Okay, goodbye for real this time. I hope you enjoyed this week’s selection of vintage goods! Let me know if you’d like to see anything specific next time around and I’ll include them in my weekly searches. See you next time!
