Hey, friends. It’s mid-week, and I’ve been thinking about a little merch topic that I need to share with you. We need to have a little chat about a new merch collaboration that is about to be released in a few week’s time. Meet the Disney x Crocs product that, to me, seems like the most counter-intuitive move ever: the new Cinderella by Crocs shoes. Although I like them in theory, for me, Crocs always seem to be a tripping hazard; they aren’t exactly the most stable shoe on the market. Now, add in a heel and a platform; I am truly confused about how these would feel. Are they the ultimate casual heel or a disaster in the making?
The new shoes are set to arrive on February 11th, and I am wondering who exactly the target market for this product is. Didn’t we all learn our lesson about heels in the Disney theme parks from Gloria in Modern Family? Only a handful of guests dare try their luck in heels over the comfort and support of sneakers during a theme park day. It might be an unpopular Disney opinion, but I just don’t get this one.
