The PCH Grill at the Disneyland Resort‘s Paradise Pier Hotel recently premiered a new dinner buffet that is inspired by the picnics, barbecues and bonfires that happen along California’s beaches.
One of the highlights of the buffet is the carving station featuring fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs and smokey tri-tip.
Other main dishes include fried chicken, pit oven-style pork shoulder and salmon with citrus sauce.
Chefs are also preparing shrimp pasta Alfredo and clams with chorizo and potatoes.
Continuing the West-coast theme, the buffet features fish (and veggie) tacos with all the toppings you’d expect. You’ll also find shrimp mac & cheese, along with regular mac & cheese.
As far as sides go, the theme continues with deviled eggs, potato and mozzarella salads, “smashed” potatoes, veggie skewers, green beans, cornbread madeleines with honey butter and a small salad bar.
For the kids, the buffet features mini hamburgers and hot dogs, plus make-your-own pizzas.
Speaking of pizzas, the adults can get in on the action as well with a choice of two different pizzas that can be made fresh and delivered to your table. Our choices were either a classic margherita pizza or a goat cheese, fig and arugula pizza.
The dessert highlights include strawberry shortcake and s’mores, with homemade marshmallows and chocolate dipping sauce.
Other desserts include a berry crisp, fruit pizza, chocolate caramel tarts with bacon, fresh fruit skewers, dessert cones and haupia pudding with coconut mango coulis.
You can also order a few specialty drinks to go along with your meal including Party Wave Lemonade (Frozen lemonade with flavors of banana and coconut topped off with Sprite, whipped cream, dark chocolate shavings and a baked banana slice), Beach Peach Citrus Tea (Tea with flavors of peach and citrus and garnished with mint and a candied orange chip), or Watermelon Lemonade (Lemonade flavored with watermelon and garnished with fresh watermelon spheres). Alcohol can be added to any of the special drinks.
The PCH Grill serves the new buffet nightly from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. The cost is $27.99 for adults and $13.99 for kids 3 to 9. Reservations are suggested.
