Now that we have eased our way into this new Disney Debate segment, I wanted to throw out an age-old question that has divided Disney fans for years. Dining options in the Disney theme parks are abundant; we are undeniably spoiled for choice. You can make your plans with anything in mind, from quick service or food carts to table service and character dining; the level of extravagance is completely up to you, and the best part is that the quality seems to be there on every occasion. However, like all good things, each comes at its own cost, and we aren’t just talking about the price tag.
Table service at Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort isn’t the cheapest way to go, but the deterrent for many lies in another factor: time. When you’ve booked a Disney day, you want to get your money’s worth out of the park. Back-to-back attractions and fun are usually the way most visitors like to arrange their day, and taking an hour or two out of that time to sit down and take a break can be tough to swallow. On the other hand, for those who do, the experience can often be a trip highlight, with wonderful food, ambient theming, and sometimes delightful characters that make it a wonderful experience.
The answer is different for everyone, and everything from how often you visit the parks to the interests of your family can have an effect on the result. We want to know what you prefer to do when dining in the Disney Parks. Is table service worth the time and money? I’d like to take this question a bit further and ask where your favorite dining location is as well. We want all the details. Park, location, dining type, and most of all, why? If anyone has any menu ordering tips, I will take those too! I’m always on the hunt for things I’ve never tried before, and a good recco from the DIS community has never steered me wrong!
