We’ve got so much to share with you about the reopening of The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Park, and I will try to keep my excitement in check while we get through all the details. The good news is that The Haunted Mansion is returning to Disneyland on July 29th, 2024! Foolish Mortals in Disneyland can visit with all of their favorite ghosts and ghouls as the attraction reopens from a lengthy hiatus. Making this news even better, the ride will be sporting its famous Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay, just in time for all of the Halloween festivities to kick off around the resort.
Just in time for the Halloween Time and Holiday seasons at the Disneyland Resort, the attraction will don décor inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.” At the center of the frightful fête’s ballroom scene is the gingerbread house, with an all-new design for this year.

Construction is still underway on the attraction’s exterior, making way for an expanded outdoor queue with enhanced theming and a new retail shop adjacent to the attraction’s exit. In the meantime, guests will be able to access Haunted Mansion exclusively with the virtual queue. For more information on how the Disneyland Virtual Queue system works, click here. We know that many of our friends out there aren’t fans of the Virtual Queue system, and we hope it will be short-lived with the new enhanced standby queue available soon.
Pumpkin King Jack Skellington has been busy decorating the Haunted Mansion with frightfully festive touches inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Experience thrilling sights and seasonal surprises created by the citizens of Halloween Town. Sally, Oogie Boogie and other beasties from the beloved film will be on hand to wish you ‘Season’s Screamings!’
