We are over a month into the Halloween Time season at the Disneyland Resort, yet surprisingly, there is still a long way to go. Don’t tell this to the fans of Christmas, but the spooky season at Disneyland actually runs longer than the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort do.
The great thing for 2025 is that not only do we get some of your favorite Halloween entertainment, but we also get some holdovers from the 70th Anniversary. It’s not often you get to see Paint the Night followed by Halloween Screams, and then top it off with Tapestry of Happiness.

We all have our favorite things about the Halloween Time season in Disneyland, but one of the highlights for me is, of course, Haunted Mansion Holiday. The seasonal overlay that has run for over a third of the year since 2001, is a must-see.

At Disneyland, you’ll also find the Halloween Screams spectacular I mentioned above that is presented with projections everyday, and with fireworks on the weekends. During the afternoons, check out the Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade for a glimpse of some of your favorite characters.

You’ll also find some of those characters throughout the day in their Halloween best, greeting guests, signing autographs, and posing for pictures.

The spooky fun continues over at Disney California Adventure with seasonal overlays on Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters, plus an incredible evening-only overlay for Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, plus a 70th Anniversary bonus, World of Color Happiness!

For the kids, there’s Mickey’s Trick or Treat, an interactive stage featuring your favorite characters, and Plaza de la Familia, where storytellers take you into the musical world of Coco.

Of course, just like at Disneyland Park, you’ll find the Disney characters (in a different Halloween costume) greeting guests.
Disney California Adventure is also the home of Oogie Boogie Bash, the popular after-hours Halloween party that is completely sold out for this year. That said, there is still plenty of spooky fun in California Adventure.

Throughout both parks, Downtown Disney, and the Disneyland Resort Hotels, you’ll find additional Halloween magic, including decorations, entertainment, and more treats than you can eat in one holiday season.

Not surprisingly, Halloween at the Disneyland Resort continues through October 31st, so a last-minute trip to Anaheim is definitely possible.
