Located inside the Disneyland Opera House on Main Street, U.S.A., home of Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, the Walt Disney – A Magical Life exhibit traces Walt’s journey from his early beginnings in animation to the creation of Disneyland itself.
Ahead of the exhibit’s grand opening, Disney has just unveiled the star of the new show: a life-sized, lifelike animatronic of Walt Disney himself, marking the first time the visionary behind the magic has been brought to life in this way.
Developed by Walt Disney Imagineering, the figure is part of a new generation of audio-animatronics using advanced facial animation, subtle body language, and natural speech patterns to create an uncanny presence that feels alive.
From capturing the twinkle in his eyes to his expressive hands and eyebrows, the team pioneered numerous artistic and technological innovations to create the most lifelike performance of an Audio-Animatronics figure possible.
