After a lengthy refurbishment and an extended seasonal overlay, the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland Park finally reopened last weekend! Most of your favorite elements are there, along with a few new surprises, including a beautiful new bride in the attic scene.
The attraction reopened on a Saturday, and surprisingly enough waits were reasonable, hovering around 45 minutes at the busiest times of the day. You’ll definitely want to wait in the stand-by line at least once to check out the attraction’s brand new extended queue which we will take a look at later.
First, let’s take a look inside to see if you can spot any updates.

Now let’s back up and take a look at the queue. If you didn’t know better, you would swear that the new portions of the queue have always been there. The new areas include gardens, a greenhouse, and an extended pet cemetery.
The first statute you encounter is my new favorite: “ATTENTI AL GATTO.”
There were also a few changes to the existing queue space, including this reimagined mausoleum. Guests will also find wider lines which allow wheelchairs and scooters to use the regular queue.
In addition to the attraction and queue updates, the Haunted Mansion now has its own gift shop near the exit. Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond opened a few weeks ago, and I’ll let you form your own opinions on it, but it’s definitely at least worth a peek inside to take a look at this stunning crystal ball.
Whether you like all of the updates to the attraction and queue…lets not talk about that shop, it’s great to have the Haunted Mansion back open at Disneyland! Step inside soon…there’s always room for one more.
